CIARA is an exciting new compact determinate saladette variety that is early, bacterial wilt resistant and suited to warm, wet conditions.

Maturity
It’s a good early-medium maturing variety. The first fruit will mature around 70-80 days after transplanting. Days to maturity may vary due to environmental conditions that may delay maturity.

CIARA is compact, with a strong stand and plant framework, making the variety balanced and well adapted to harsh conditions.

Plant Populations
Depending on spacing the variety can be planted between 13 500 - 15 000 plants per hectare. It is an open field variety requiring one to three wires to help keep it upright with the fruit set.

Variety Characteristics
CIARA is a firm, large, egg-shaped fruit with an average mass of 140-170g. It is well balanced and keeps its fruit shape and size.
