Maturity:
Approximately 80 - 90 days to maturity in summer and 100 - 110 days in cool winters.
Plant Characteristics:
A vigorous and productive plant with a semi-bush habit. STAR 7001 should be planted at 7,000 plants/ha in summer and 6,000 plants/ha in winter production areas.
Fruit Characteristics:
An attractive white fruit with a very good transport and storage ability. A deeper shape than FWB van Niekerk (150 x 300 mm) with a shallower stem attachment. An average weight of 8 kg. Thinner skin and narrower green border between the skin and flesh than FWB. Firmer, thicker and better coloured flesh. Fruit have shallower sutures and a smaller blossom end scar than FWB,This gives better storage capability. The seed count is approximately 4 - 5 seeds/gram.

Very high.
Disease Resistance:
The early and concentrated yield of STAR 7001 normally helps to limit yield loss from powdery mildew and virus infections.
