Early maturing. Approximately 90 days to maturity in summer and 110 days in cool winters.
Plant Characteristics:
A vigorous and productive plant with a semi-bush habit. STAR 7022 should be planted at 7,000 plants/ha in early summer and 6,500 plants/ha in winter. Semi-bush characteristics are most obvious in early growth stages.
Fruit Characteristics:
An attractive grey fruit with good transport ability. A deep blocky shape, 250mm in diameter and 200mm deep, An average weight of 5 kg. Fruit are very smooth and this aids peeling at home or in the factory. The deep fruit form makes this variety well suited to filling bags for the market.
