Lumi

LUMI is an exciting new fresh market variety that combines Fol: 3, TYLCV and TSWV resistance with good resistance to For and powdery mildew. LUMI is specially bred for indoor growing conditions. It is well adapted with its unique leaf formation and leaf disease resistance. It is compatible with Starke Ayres rootstocks to give it the longer growing cycle required for indoor varieties. LUMI also does well in direct soil planting due to its strong disease resistance.

Maturity
It’s a good early-medium maturing variety. The first fruit will mature around 90-95 days after transplanting. Days to maturity may vary due to environmental conditions that may delay maturity.

Plant Characteristics
LUMI is robust, with a strong stand and plant framework, making the variety balanced and well adapted for indoor conditions.

Plant Populations
Depending on the spacing, the variety can be planted between 12 500 - 13 500 plants per hectare double stemmed, or single stemmed with a population of 25 000 plants. Depending on the rootstock used, extra vigour or disease resistance can be added as required.

Variety Characteristics
LUMI is a firm, medium-sized, attractive, slightly oblate fruit with a small attachment and average fruit mass of 120-160g. It is well balanced and keeps its fruit shape and size.

powdery mildew and Fusarium crown and root rot.
