STARKE AYRES is very excited to add a new variety called BELLO* to our English cucumber range. BELLO has been trialled extensively for several seasons in different climates and growing conditions and has consistently proven itself. BELLO offers large, uniform, high-quality fruit with a dark-green colour. The latest breeding technology enables BELLO to produce high yields of high-quality fruit from a slightly less vigorous plant by breeding plants with smaller but darker, horizontally-orientated leaves, we promote optimal sunlight absorption with good ventilation and lighting to reduce the risk of fungal infections and improve fruit quality, while still producing high yields.
BELLO offers our customers added peace of mind with resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew (Px), Cladosporium cucumerinum (Ccu), cucumber vein yellowing virus (CVYV) and cucurbit yellow stunting disorder virus (CYSDV). We look forward to BELLO’s contribution to our customers’ success.
